Rider Levett Bucknall Hits The Jackpot With Lottery Win

Property and construction consultancy Rider Levett Bucknall has won a landmark deal with the Big Lottery Fund to help breathe new life into communities across the UK.

BLF has launched its Living Landmarks project and is looking to plough up to £140m of lottery cash into regeneration initiatives and community projects to help people transform and revitalise the places where they live.

The public will get to award up to £50m to one project of national significance in a live televised vote. The programme, The People's Millions, will be screened at the end of the year, and viewers will choose which project will get the £50m jackpot from of a shortlist of deserving causes.

Elsewhere, a number of regional projects will battle it out for awards of up to £25m and the winners will be selected by BFL's Living Landmarks' committee.

The awards are to fund major capital projects and aim to engage communities and encourage participation, champion innovation and encourage best practice in the design, construction and management of projects.

Rider Levett Bucknall has been appointed to lead the evaluation of various regeneration schemes which have been entered into the competition by community teams across the UK.
