Rider Levett Bucknall Get a Big Tick For Their CSR Work

In recognition of its dedication and commitment to responsible business in the community, Rider Levett Bucknall has received a Big Tick of approval for helping to make a difference to people's lives and the environment in which they live.

The practice, which has led the way in corporate social responsibility, is a member of Business in the Community's ProHelp Birmingham. It is a network of around 20 professional firms that aims to create a positive impact in deprived communities by offering their services free of charge.

Over the last year, more than 680 hours of professional advice was provided to 45 community projects representing over £100,000 of pro bono support. Services include legal advice, building and design consultancy, marketing and public relations.

Now, as part of the Business in the Community Awards for Excellence, which are now in their tenth year, Rider Levett Bucknall has been given a Big Tick Award for its services to the community and making a positive impact on the region.

Nigel Mason, Partner at the Birmingham office of Rider Levett Bucknall, says the work the practice gets involved with through ProHelp is always challenging, interesting and varied.

He says: "The pro bono work is sometimes difficult to balance with other client commitments, but over the years I have seen the benefit, not just to the organisations we assist, but also to Rider Levett Bucknall. This award further demonstrates our commitment to corporate social responsibility.

John Guilford, West Midlands ProHelp Birmingham Manager, says the decision to award a Big Tick is made by a panel of independent and experienced practitioners and is a highly prestigious accolade.

He adds: "It is something to be really proud of and I thank Rider Levett Bucknall for its continued support. It really does make a difference to people's lives and the communities in which they live and work."
