Rider Levett Bucknall has secured a partnership deal with one of the UK's largest registered social landlords to help build its portfolio of affordable homes.
The property and construction specialist is one of only a handful of consultants to be selected by the Jephson Housing Partnership to join its panel of primary consultants under a strategic framework agreement.
It is a four year agreement during which time Jephson Housing Partnership will invest more than £100m in 2,000 new homes across the UK and, as a panel member, Rider Levett Bucknall will work with the partnership to deliver new homes and major re-development and re-modelling of existing schemes.
Rider Levett Bucknall, which has established a strong relationship with Jephson Housing Partnership, underwent a rigorous and challenging tender process through the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU).
The Birmingham and Bristol offices of Rider Levett Bucknall will provide cost management, employers agent and CDM co-ordinator services, and there may also be opportunities for other group offices in the near future.
Ann Bentley, Director at Rider Levett Bucknall UK Ltd, says Jephson Housing Partnership previously worked with a number of consultants on a regional basis. However, in a move to demonstrate commitment to its suppliers, it took the decision to create a single panel of approved primary consultants which it felt would apply a cultural as well as a technical emphasis to projects and will actively work on continuous improvement throughout the framework.
Ann says: "Our relationship with Jephson has been established for more than 15 years and, over this period, both organisations have matured and now work in a very focused and competitive social housing market.
"We believe that the expertise we have both gained, coupled with our collaborative ethos and commercial acumen, will make this a very successful partnership for the future."
The Jephson Housing Partnership manages almost 15,000 homes throughout England, which are either rented or occupied by on a shared ownership basis.
