RIDER LEVETT BUCKNALL has beaten tough competition to win a prestigious partnership deal to help change the face of the North West landscape.
The group is one of only a handful of regeneration specialists to be selected by the Northwest Development Agency to join a number of its specialist consultants panels under a four year framework agreements.
The regional development agency is embarking on a wealth of regeneration and development projects over the next three years that will significantly boost the North West economy and encourage both public and private sector investment.
RLB were previously selected to join the Agency's Economic Appraisal Panel which operated between 2001 and 2003. This further appointment comes after a rigorous and challenging tender process with the Northwest Development Agency's key decision makers and the Government body, Constructing Excellence.
The Manchester and Liverpool offices of RLB will provide building surveying, quantity surveying, project management and regeneration services.
The framework agreements cover a development and regeneration programme worth several hundred million pounds as the Northwest Development Agency continues to boost the competitiveness of the regional economy.
It has already ploughed many millions into enhancing transport and communication links as well as creating jobs, affordable housing and improving the local environment through land regeneration. The agency's portfolio of commercial property and strategic sites has also secured the development of a number of industries as part of its commitment to ensure continued economic growth in the region.
Managing Partner, Chris Hartley, says the win is a major accreditation for the group and, not only opens up a host of other public sector avenues, supports the work already being undertaken with English Partnerships and the Heritage Lottery Fund.
He said: "This is a significant win for us following a challenging procurement process. We look forward to working with the NWDA in the reshaping of the region."
