RIDER Levett Bucknall is celebrating a decade in partnership with one of the Midland's leading property developers as it continues with the expansion of its premier business park.
IM Properties has been developing the Birch Coppice Business Park for a number of years, and the 400-acre site is situated alongside junction 10 of the M42 motorway near Tamworth which is often referred to as the Midlands' 'golden triangle'.
Its strategic location has seen the park become one of the prime business locations and is home to a host of international companies including Ceva, UPS, Bristan, PHS Direct and Instarmac as well as Birmingham Intermodal Freight Terminal.
IM Properties is developing further plots at the site including a £6.7m speculative warehouse build at 256,000 square feet. Two further warehouses on nearby plots at 40,000 square feet and 55,000 square feet are being developed in a £3.9m project, one of which has been pre-let to bathroom retailer HiB.
The Manchester office of Rider Levett Bucknall is providing employers agent, quantity surveying, clerk of works and M &E services as sub-consultants on both developments.
Andrew Reynolds, Partner at Rider Levett Bucknall, says the practice began working with IM Properties back in the 1980s, and has been involved with the Birch Coppice development since 1997.
He says: "With its strategic location and first-class developments, Birch Coppice is one of the premier business parks in the Midlands and this latest appointment further strengthens our long-standing relationship with IM Properties."
