Rider Levett Bucknall has won the contract to deliver a £14 million pavilion at the Headingley Carnegie Stadium.
The consultant was selected by Leeds Metropolitan University and stakeholder, Yorkshire County Cricket Club, provide QS services under an existing framework agreement.
The project will see the existing Wintershed Stand demolished and replaced by a five-story building.
As a collaboration between the University and Cricket club, the Carnegie Pavilion will include class rooms, lecture theatres, offices and teaching kitchens for the university with a media centre, new players' facilities and changing rooms and executive suites for the club.
SMC Alsop Group is architect and the design is expected to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating.
Work on the pavilion is scheduled to start next April and is estimated to be completed in the autumn of 2009.
