QS Week - 20th December 07

Opus Land has appointed Rider Levett Bucknall to work on a £47m commercial redevelopment in Warwickshire.

The consultancy will provide project management, employer's agent, quantity surveying and CDM services during the feasibility, design and construction stages of the Opus 40 Premier Business Park project in Warwick.

GVA Grimley and D&P Holt are property consultants for the project.

The first phase of the scheme involves refurbishing the existing 8000m2 building on the site of IBM's old headquarters.

The second phase will create approximately 24,000m2 of new office accommodation, which will offer a BREEAM Excellent rating.

Work on the new office building is scheduled to start on site in early January 2008.
