Press Release
In the Republic of Ireland, Hilti (Fastening System) Ltd is relocating its Dublin Head Office from Glasnevin to a new site close to the M50 on the outskirts of the city, and RLB have been centrally involved in this move.
Originally appointed in January 2006, RLB investigated a number of options with Hilti. A developer-lead shell and core building was provided by Rohan Holdings acting under RLB's guidance as Hilti's Representative.
During the construction period RLB acted as Purchaser's Representative, involving the management of the site, procurement and design. RLB provided Project Management, Quantity Surveying and Building Surveying services. They also worked closely with stakeholders in the scheme to prepare a suitable specification for the fit-out. RLB were assisted by Ronnie Davis and Co., who provided local cost and contract advice.
Fit out works began in September 2007 and were completed in time for Hilti to relocate in mid-December.
The facility was officially opened this week by Michael Hilti, Chairman of Hilti, on 24th January 2008.
Ian Fletcher, project manager for RLB, commented: "We have worked closely with Hilti on all aspects of this project including property, sales and logistics. The relationship has been a very smooth, successful and amicable one. This has been a good scheme from the start and we are delighted to have worked alongside such a professional company."
Jim McGilloway, Hilti's Logistics Director for the UK and Ireland, added:
"The contribution of RLB was significant in ensuring that Hilti got the facility we wanted delivered on time to a standard that surpassed even our high expectations.
"The partnership between Hilti and RLB worked extremely well in that it provided objective commercially orientated professional advice, in a convivial manner.
