Access The World
Access The World is RLB's bespoke vehicle carrying out its charity initiatives.
Its last charity ball was in aid of Penn Hall school for young people, aged 3-19 years, who have physical difficulties as their major disability and have a statement of Special Educational Needs.
Based in Wolverhampton the school aims to provide a rich, stimulating and successful environment in which children and young adults can develop as well as provide opportunities, experiences, teaching and therapy that will prepare each child for their next stage in life.
The ball was be held at the ICC, Birmingham and raised £70,000 which will go direct to the cause.
A target of £20,000 needed to be secured to access £100,000 from the government for a capital grant for the school.
Sponsorship and donation of prizes for an auction, that took place on the night, were the main source of the fund raising, with prizes ranging from champagne to a Mini One to adventure packages.
